1. Agreement

By using JSON & XML Tools (the "site"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

2. What the site provides

The site provides free browser-based tools to format, validate and minify JSON and XML documents. All processing happens locally in your browser; no document content is sent to us. The site is offered free of charge and without registration.

3. Your content

The documents you process remain entirely yours. Because no document is transmitted to us, we never obtain any licence, ownership or access rights over your content.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site to:

  • break any applicable law or regulation;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site, its host, or other users;
  • scrape, mirror or redistribute the site's pages or downloads in a way that presents them as your own service; or
  • process content you do not have the right to process.

5. No warranty

The site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the tools are error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that the output of any tool is correct or suitable for your use.

Formatters and validators are convenient, but they are not a substitute for review. Always verify important documents before relying on a reformatted result , and keep your original copy. This is especially true for XML, where whitespace can be significant in some vocabularies.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising from or connected with your use of, or inability to use, the site — even if we have been advised that such damage is possible.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

7. Availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend or remove any part of the site at any time without notice, including the tools themselves and these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms last changed; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

8. Intellectual property

The site's name, design, written content and code are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Third-party libraries used to build the site remain the property of their respective authors and are used under their own licences.

9. Contact

Questions about these terms, including legal enquiries, can be sent to the address on the contact page.
